 FRIDAY!!!!It was a good day.

Dad and Lucas hit the property early with Dave - they got about half the septic repaired (lots of clorox wipes after that job)I stayed home in the AM to work on the never ending SBA loan app - ughhhhJourneyed up to Topnaga about 11 - and amazingly - I got in.

Topanga is EMPTY - it is a bit surreal.

Sheriffs with the horse trailers at the top of Stunt trying to round up 2 stray dogs. Poor guys have been TRAUMATIZED I am sure.

Always good to see the house and say HI.The house says hello to all of you!

Carlos came by to look at the well - he said it needs to be fixed.Dave came by with his mechanic buddy to try to fix the generator - he gave a good effort.

I cleaned out the freezer in the garage. Ella is now the proud owner of 400 pounds of cheese and a few pounds of gluten free baked goods. Pro tip - before a power outage put a big bag of ice in your big freezer. Makes for a not terrible clean up 10 days later.

As we drove home we went via Stunt and ran into Kip. He told us that he saw 2 young men in their late 20s/30s trying to save the house. He also said that he was looking at the house from below near Hume and was worried as the fire shifted and started heading up the hill towards the house. Then he said it was in our gully and climbing the hill and then....it turned around and headed back down the hill.

We love all the blessings we have seen these past 10 days.

We dropped Lucas and our laundry at Ella's. She has been the champion laundry queen - and we are forever grateful.

Dad and I went to the temple then to Pomodoro for a little dinner. It was very nice to have a date night.

We love you guys.Have a happy sleep.
