 Saturday

Was a pretty good day.Dad and Lucas worked at the house and got the septic dialed in so that was good. They also got a generator from Ryan Vallee so we have power at the house when needed. Dad got the water working so the toilets flush and he washed the dishes - so that's nice. Dad worked o the well wires to get a better understanding of what repairs need to be made.I got the Starlink hooked up and working at the hotel - so it should be good to go when it gets to the house.I finished the SBA loan app for BBA - hoping that all gets approved.I got Stephanie started and she worked in the lobby at the hotel.

Ella and I tried to get to the house but failed. That was discouraging. We spent about 5 hours driving around trying different ways to get in to get Dad and Lucas.  We tried Stunt and Tuna a couple of times. We waited in the driveway at Medley to see if the new cops would let us in - but no. They were working on the power lines and so the road was closed legitimately.

Ella headed home and I tried one last time at Stunt. By that time the Nat'l Guard had come in - so it was a really hard closure.I left feeling discouraged. Thankfully we had dinner with Colby, Aubrie and Jana - and that was cheery. Always nice to have people to help cheer us.

Sunday

It was good day.We went to church in SM at what will be our new normal for a while. Was great to see our ward members and fellowship with them. Also a really good reminder that we are so blessed. And that our job will be to fellowship and lift and help. Pam asked me if Dad would make her a new house.

Pam and Sande and Bruce Moore had a visit from Elder Bednar and his wife this weekend. They were touched by that experience.

We had a yummy dinner that Ella made with Grandma and grandpa - always nice to spend time with our awesome family. Zeke and Jasper were very cute and fun.

It was nice to come home and watch an episode of All Creatures Great and Small. Dad fell asleep - in time to wake up to a phone call that he had a presidency meeting at 8 :-). Poor guy.

Hope You all have a good night and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MLK. "The time is always right to do what is right."
